One of Jurgen Klopp’s biggest strengths during his time as Liverpool’s manager has been his ability to improve players and get the absolute maximum out of them.
From Mohamed Salah to Andy Robertson. There have been many, many examples.
Well, another name you can add to that list is youngster Conor Bradley, who has stepped up and looked the part during these past few games for Liverpool.
On Sunday, the Reds, in the first home game since Jurgen Klopp announced that he was leaving at the end of the season, dispatched Championship side Norwich City 5-2 to progress in the FA Cup.
Conor Bradley started the game at right-back, with the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold returning to the bench and the youngster bagged himself two assists.
When the 20-year-old took to Instagram to express his delight at the win and performance, he was lauded in the comments section.
From his captain Virgil van Dijk to backup goalkeeper, Caoimhin Kelleher, all of them gave him his flowers.
Conor Bradley praised after latest Liverpool performance
Kelleher wrote: ‘A joy to watch,’ whilst teenager James McConnell, who made his first start against Norwich, added that Bradley was ’so good’.
Tyler Morton, who is on loan at Hull City, told his fellow academy product ‘proud of ye mate’ and Van Dijk sent fire emojis.
Regular starter next season?
There is no doubt that Klopp will continue to use Bradley this season, especially with the team still in all four competitions.
It’s just about what type of role will he play next season. Well, a lot of that will depend on who his manager will be.
If that individual thinks along the same lines as Klopp, by giving young players a chance, then there is no reason why he doesn’t earn regular minutes.
But with many calling for Alexander-Arnold to go into midfield, the performances of Bradley are proving that can happen if Klopp wishes to go down that road.
