The day Mohamed Salah leaves Liverpool, he can put his head up and regard himself as one of the club’s greatest-ever players.

Not only in Liverpool colours will he receive the flowers, but the Premier League will also put his name into the Hall of Fame, and rightly so!

A constant present for Jurgen Klopp’s side, not having Mohamed Salah available as he competes in the Africa Cup of Nations, is something that stands out like a sore thumb for this Premier League title-chasing side.

Cesc Fabregas stated that he just doesn’t know how Liverpool will cope without their star man and he doesn’t remember the last time he wasn’t in the XI, as he told Planet Football

The legendary midfielder lauded the fitness levels of the 31-year-old and called it ‘unbelievable’ and questioned ‘how is that even possible?’.

But on top of that durability to practically play nearly every single game, the former Arsenal and Chelsea star also stated that Mohamed Salah is a ‘very special talent’.

As of today, the £35 million signing has a total of 204 goals in all competitions for the Reds, as well as 153 in the Premier League.

There’s no stopping the player who could argue that he has been the best player in the Premier League this season.

Mohamed Salah’s rise and fitness

“I don’t really know,” responded Fabregas on how Liverpool cope without Salah. “I can’t really remember a game without seeing Salah in the starting XI, seriously. The last one I can remember was against Barcelona when they had to do their miracle and they did.

“Sometimes I was talking with a physio and a friend of mine, even when Sadio (Mane) was there and Firmino were there.

“It felt like every single game of the season they (Mane, Firmino and Salah) were playing. I was like. How is that even possible? There is the Carabao Cup. They are in. The FA Cup, they are in.

“I just think they keep playing and playing and playing, which is unbelievable. It shows how fit they are. I am sure it show the methodology of training, it’s completely right for the way they want to play. I have always admired that about Mo (Salah).

“He’s a very special talent. I played with him at Chelsea for six months. He is a top guy as well. He has a good mentality. I am happy for him. He is a very, very hard worker. He believed in his talent, went away and found his way. Now he is showing everyone how good he is.”

Will Mohamed Salah stay at Liverpool

The Egypt international has a contract that runs until 2025. Most Liverpool fans will want him to stay for that period, and beyond.

But there is the little matter of the Saudi Pro League. Will he leave if that big money is put on the table?

From Liverpool’s perspective, given that he turns 32 in June, they might have no choice but to sell, purely from a business sense.

So, the Anfield faithful will be hoping that Liverpool’s hand isn’t forced here because, with Salah, they will go on to win everything again during these coming years.
