Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been heavily criticised amid talks of a potential Premier League return.
Jordan Henderson left Liverpool last summer to join Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ettifaq after a sensational 12-year run that saw the Englishman win multiple titles under Jurgen Klopp.
The midfielder, however, had a tough start to life in the Middle East as his side are currently eighth in the league table and are without a win in nine games across all competitions.
In addition, HITC Football confirmed the 33-year-old’s desire to leave the country only less than six months after his arrival.

Richard Keys spoke about Henderson’s potential return to English football but expressed his view that the latter is nowhere near the top-flight level.
“So Jordan Henderson wants to end his ‘Saudi hell’ and return to the PL? Really?” Keys said on his blog.
“What makes him think he’s still good enough? After six months playing the equivalent of League 1 football does he still have what it takes?”
Henderson’s run at Al-Ettifaq
Despite reuniting with former teammates Georgino Wijnaldum and Steven Gerrard, Henderson has been strongly linked with a move away from the Dammam-based outfit.
With a contract until 2026, he is still tied to another two and a half years in the Saudi Pro League and Al-Ettifaq may want to recoup part of their £12 million transfer fee.
Overall, Henderson has provided five assists in 19 appearances in all competitions this campaign and is yet to open his scoring account.
