The agent of Braga ace Rodrigo Gomes has confirmed Wolves’ interest with the Premier League outfit reportedly looking to seal a £10.5 million January deal.
Speaking to Record amid claims that Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to add another Portuguese talent to their already sizeable collection of Iberian additions, Marcelo Cipriano is wasting no time in confirming that the rumours are, indeed, true.
Wolves are interested in Rodrigo Gomes. The Portugal Under 21 international who has exploded onto the scene with six goals and six assists in 18 appearances on loan at Estoril in 2023/24.

Rodrigo Gomes is a Wolves transfer target
“Wolves are one of the many clubs who contacted me from the five major European leagues,” Cipriano explains, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga sides also hot on Gomes’ heals.
“(Wolves are) showing interest in Rodrigo. But I believe it’s no surprise considering the excellent season he is having.”
The agent, however, appears to suggest that a departure is more likely to occur in June rather than January.
“The important thing at this moment is for Rodrigo to be calm and continue doing what he has been doing on the field. This way, at the end of the season, there will be no shortage of proposals from good European clubs!” Cipriano adds.
“I believe that proposals will arrive for Rodrigo Gomes.”
12 million euro deal in the pipeline
Wolves, A Bola say, are ‘willing’ to invest £10.5 million in Gomes. The 20-year-old has not made a single appearance in Portugal’s Primera Liga for Braga and his performances out on loan – catching the eye of numerous clubs across the continent – mean that he could leave The Archbishops without ever setting foot on their hallowed turf.
A wing-back who can also play in midfield, Gomes has thrived in a variety of different roles for Estoril. He has featured most frequently on the right but has also performed impressively on the left when required. Gomes’ versatility could see him emerge as a readymade replacement for Jonny Castro Otto, the long-serving defender who looks destined to leave Molineux under a cloud this month.
Wolves are also keen on adding a striker to Gary O’Neil’s ranks. Mohamed Amoura of Union Saint-Gilloise is a target.
