Tottenham Hotspur are showing an interest in signing RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda but will seemingly face competition from Manchester United.
Tottenham chose not to sign a new centre forward after selling Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in August.
Ange Postecoglou and co went down a different route, landing a versatile forward in Wales international Brennan Johnson.
Son Heung-min has switched to play up front for Tottenham and he has been in fine form this season.
Spurs could still sign another striker though, with Postecoglou suggesting that Son would want Tottenham to go for another goalscorer.
Tottenham Hotspur interested in RB Leipzig’s Lois Openda
The Mirror now report that Tottenham have shown an an interest in RB Leipzig hitman Lois Openda.
It’s claimed that Spurs have been watching Openda with a view to a move for the Belgium international.
Manchester United have been scouting Openda too, meaning Spurs could face major competition.
Leipzig paid around €45million (£39million) to sign Openda from RC Lens over the summer.
Openda has already smashed 14 goals in 19 games across the Bundesliga and Champions League, adding three assists too.
Leipzig’s price tag is now thought to be around £75million, meaning Tottenham would have to cough up a staggering fee to land him.

Who is Tottenham target Openda?
Openda was born in Liege and spent time in the ranks of both RFC Liege and Standard Liege before heading to Club Brugge at 15.
The 23-year-old never really impressed for Club Brugge, scoring just five times in 53 games.
A two-year loan spell with Vitesse Arnhem really put Openda on the map though as he racked up 37 goals in 88 games.
RC Lens pounced with a permanent deal in 2022 and Openda fired them into the Champions League with a superb 21-goal campaign.
Now banging in the goals for Leipzig too, Openda seems to make steps forward every year and his next move could be to the Premier League.
Hailed as ‘super-fast’ by former Club Brugge boss Philippe Clement, Openda could bring a new dimension to Tottenham’s attack but Daniel Levy will have to dig deep to make it happen.
