Gary Neville says he is ‘angry’ with Yves Bissouma for his mistake during Tottenham Hotspur’s enthralling 3-3 at Manchester City.

On one hand, Gary Neville admires how Ange Postecoglou’s side play and the ‘courage’ they showcase on the ball.

But, on the other, as proven by Yves Bissouma’s, 27, mistake and Jack Grealish’s goal, he is frustrated by Tottenham, as he told Sky Sports Football.

Before a ball was kicked at the Etihad, many were expecting Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to wipe the floor with all-action Tottenham.

Spurs were going to come out and play. Charge men forward. No matter what. Many predicted goals galore, mainly against Ange Postecoglou’s side.

But things perhaps didn’t go as many thought because Spurs were sensational going forward, although, they did have their moments when trying to play out from the back.

That was highlighted by Gary Neville and that’s why he was left with a mixed feeling about the team.

Tottenham’s style of play against Manchester City

“There is an element of madness,” said Neville. “But there is an element of brilliance with how Spurs play. There is no doubt about that.

“You can’t come here and do what they have done and play the level of football that they have done.

“One thing I can never ever question about this Spurs team is the courage to play. Sometimes it goes into madness where you are actually angry with Bissouma when he turns into three players 15 yards outside his own area.

“I suppose that’s the risk. They are a team that do dare.”

It needs to be noted that Spurs are without several key players, yet they have managed to walk away from the Etihad with a point.

It’s not the fact that Postecoglou has guided the team to a point. It’s the manner in which they have done it all.

The fans probably can’t wait for the likes of James Maddison and Micky van de Ven to return because it’s going to take the team to the next level again.

Many saw what the team is capable of when most are fit, so if Spurs can continue to claw the points until they return, then they will prove to be very dangerous heading into the second half of the campaign.
