Tottenham Hotspur want Evan Ferguson but Brighton and Hove Albion are now demanding an astronomical fee for the striker.
Evan Ferguson is viewed as the long-term heir to Harry Kane at Tottenham Hotspur.
That is according to TalkSPORT, who claim that Spurs want to bring the Brighton and Hove Albion striker to North London.
Kane left Tottenham in August, completing a move to German champions Bayern Munich.
Tottenham chose not to sign a natural replacement for Kane but seemingly have Ferguson in mind as a long-term successor.
Brighton and Hove Albion want staggering fee for Evan Ferguson
TalkSPORT now claim that Brighton want an enormous price in order to sell Ferguson.
It’s stated that Brighton owner Tony Bloom now believes that Ferguson is worth even more than Moises Caicedo.
Brighton sold Caicedo to Chelsea for around £115million in August, meaning Spurs would face a club-record-shattering deal for the Irishman.
Ferguson only signed a new contract until 2029 last week and this report claims that there is no release clause in the deal.
Manchester United and Chelsea are keen too, but the 19-year-old seemingly won’t be leaving Brighton any time soon.

Santiago Gimenez makes more sense for Tottenham
We can understand why Tottenham like Ferguson.
The teenager has been ‘sensational’ in the Premier League according to Jamie O’Hara and looks to have immense potential.
The price tag is just so far beyond Tottenham that we can’t see this move happening.
Tottenham do have other strikers in mind though with Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez wanted.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Spurs continue to scout the Mexico international for a potential £39million move in 2024.
That price tag suits Tottenham much better than the money being talked about for Ferguson and we believe that Spurs need to forget all about the Brighton man given the price tag on his head.
