Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are now reportedly about to make a bid for Sofyan Amrabat, a player Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are also interested in.

Fiorentina defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has been linked with both Manchester United and Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

A report in Viola News earlier this month claimed that Liverpool are interested in Amrabat, with manager Jurgen Klopp having already spoken to the Fiorentina star.

Klopp has reportedly explained to the 27-year-old how he could fit into his team at Liverpool.

The report claimed that Liverpool will reportedly soon make a bid for the Morocco international defensive midfielder, who was described as “outstanding” by former Manchester United star Roy Keane on ITV (7:02pm, December 18, 2022).

Liverpool are yet to make a formal bid for Amrabat.

Manchester United are now reportedly about to.

According to Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, United are “preparing” a formal bid for Amrabat.

The Italian journalist has claimed that the Red Devils have already held informal talks with Fiorentina over a deal for the defensive midfielder and are now about to make a formal offer.

This suggests that United are going to press ahead with their interest in Amrabat.

If Liverpool are really determined to sign the Fiorentina star, then they have to make a bid.

After all, the summer transfer window will close on Friday night.

Time is running out for Liverpool to get a deal done.

Amrabat made 24 starts and five substitute appearances in Serie A for Fiorentina last season.

The midfielder gave one assist in those games.
