Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United and David Moyes’s West Ham United have been linked with Kieran Tierney, but it seems that the Arsenal left-back will not move to St. James’ Park or to London Stadium.

Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney linked with Newcastle United and West Ham United

Newcastle United and West Ham United reportedly want to sign Kieran Tierney from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

The Telegraph reported earlier this month that Newcastle are looking for a new left-back this summer and want to sign Tierney on a loan deal from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

The Daily Express also reported this month that West Ham have registered their interest in the £110,000-a-week (SalarySport) Scotland international left-back.

Tierney to join Real Sociedad

However, it seems that West Ham and Newcastle will not be able to sign Tierney in the summer transfer window.

There is now strong speculation that the 26-year-old is on his way to Spain to join Real Sociedad.

The Athletic has claimed that La Liga club Sociedad will sign Tierney on a season-long loan deal.

Tierney will reportedly travel to Spain and undergo a medical this weekend.

Journalist Charles Watts has also said that Tierney is set to move to Sociedad.

The Mirror are reporting that “Tierney has an agreement in place to join Real Sociedad on a season-long loan deal without an option to buy”.

Sociedad are a big club in Spain and will play in the UEFA Champions League this season.

We are not surprised that the left-back is heading to Spain.

Tierney is a very good left-back, and if he does not suffer from any injuries, then he could flourish in La Liga.

West Ham and Newcastle will be disappointed to miss out on Tierney, but Arsenal will not be too displeased that the left-back is not going to join the Magpies.

After all, Newcastle could well be a major threat to Arsenal in the Premier League title race this season.
