Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have been linked with Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney and Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella.
According to The Telegraph, Newcastle United want to sign a left-back and have identified Kieran Tierney of Arsenal and Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella as potential targets.
The Magpies reportedly believe that both Tierney and Cucurella “would like to make the move” to St. James’ Park in the summer transfer window.
Newcastle want a loan deal for Tierney or Cucurella.
Arsenal would prefer to sell the Scotland international left-back and get a decent transfer fee.
As for Cucurella, Chelsea would prefer to sell the £175,000-a-week (Spotrac)Spain international left-back.
Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella would be expensive for Newcastle United
In our view, Newcastle United would find a deal to sign Marc Cucurella from Chelsea in the summer transfer window very expensive.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea paid Brighton and Hove Albion £60 million in transfer fees for Cucurella last summer.

The Blues will certainly want to recoup as much as they can of that sum, if not all of it.
Would Newcastle really be willing to spend £60 million on a left-back?
Would Cucurella be willing to leave Chelsea after one season?
After all, Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are a global brand.
The 25-year-old might feel that he could be a success at the Blues under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Cucurella has made 59 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The left-back has scored one goal, given three assists, and kept 12 clean sheets in those games.
