PSV Eindhoven coach Peter Bosz believes there is little to suggest Ibrahim Sangare’s departure is imminent even with Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest ready to part with a cool £32 million.
With Ryan Yates impressing in a more advanced role in pre-season, and with January signing Danilo proving himself more effective in a box-to-box role, PSV’s Ivorian colossus feels potentially like the perfect foil for the aforementioned duo in the ‘number six’ position.
Ibrahima Sangare, linked with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle in previous windows, is the name right at the top of Nottingham Forest’s wishlist with four weeks until the deadline.
According to The Athletic, Forest are willing to trigger the £32 million release clause in his contract too.

Former Lyon, Ajax and Borussia Dortmund coach Bosz, however, insists that Sangare is not performing like a man packing his bags, the powerhouse midfielder letting his football do the talking.
“He trains well,” Bosz tells Voetbal Zone. “And, in the games, you don’t notice an impending departure.
“But if he leaves, we will get a replacement.”
Nottingham Forest face PSG battle for Ibrahim Sangare
Forest, The Athletic add, could face competition from Paris Saint-Germain. Steve Cooper may be up against trying to bring in arguably the most imposing, all-round midfield player in the Netherlands, especially with PSG potentially losing Marco Verratti to the Saudi Arabian revolution.
Reports coming out of Eindhoven believe Sangare is still more likely to leave than not this month. A move to the English Premier League appeals to him too, though it remains to be seen if Sangare is aiming higher than a Nottingham Forest side who may face another season of battling for survival in 2023/24.
“He is the king of PSV,” club legend Aad De Mos said back in 2022.
“Sangare is not only suitable for (a club like) Leicester. He can also easily join an even higher club. He can easily play at Tottenham and certainly also at Arsenal.
“Sangare is a great player. I think 35 million euros is a good price. He would be first on the team sheet for any of those teams (Leicester, Arsenal and Spurs).

“You need someone like that, who takes the ball and always puts the boot in. And, lately, he has also become dangerous in the opposition penalty area.”
Sangare scored five times in 29 Eredivisie appearances in 2022/23.
