Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is reportedly not keen on a move to Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
Journalist Julien Laurens has said on talkSPORT (6:41am, August 2, 2023) that Chelsea are interested in signing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has said that the £606,000-a-week (SalarySport) Brazil international forward is not keen on a transfer to Chelsea this summer.
Newcastle United have been linked with the former Barcelona forward as well.
L’Equipe reported interest in Neymar from Chelsea in July.
Laurens said: “Neymar is still there, but ideally, they would like to sell him.
“Apart from Chelsea really, I don’t think anybody else would welcome him, and he is not too keen on going there.”
Chelsea should not sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain
In our opinion, Chelsea should not sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.
Yes, Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino has worked with Neymar at PSG, but the Brazil international has had injury problems in recent years.

Neymar made 18 starts in Ligue 1 last season, played 22 Ligue 1 matches in 2021-22 and made 15 starts in the league in 2020-21.
And he is 31 now.
Chelsea are signing young players and are building a team sustainable for the long term.
Christopher Nkunku is 25, Nicolas Jackson is 22, Lesley Ugochukwu is 19, Diego Moreira is 18 and Angelo is 18.
Chelsea would have no resale value in Neymar, who has not been able to make a huge impact in the UEFA Champions League with PSG.
The Blues will be aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table next season and perhaps even challenge for the title.
