Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala admits he would relish the chance to play alongside Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane if the striker swaps the Premier League for the Bundesliga.

Last season, the Bundesliga’s Golden Boot was won by a tally of just 16 goals; Christopher Nkunku and Niklas Fullkrug sharing the award.

Such a scenario would have been unimaginable just 12 months earlier, when Erling Haaland was leading the line at Borussia Dortmund and Robert Lewandowski was laying waste to centre-halves like Darth Vader carving through a band of ill-equipped resistance fighters wielding wooden spoons rather than lightsabers.

Bayern Munich certainly missed their prolific Pole following his move to Barcelona. So much so that their decade-long domestic dominance almost came to an end, their final-day snatching of the Meisterschale owing much to Dortmund firing shotgun shells into their own metatarsals.

Bayern’s top scorer in 2022/23 – Serge Gnabry – scored just 14 times in the league.

And, despite the best efforts of Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting, their ongoing pursuit of Harry Kane is testament to just how keenly FC Hollywood need a genuine A-list, posterboy centre-forward.

Bayern Munich make new bid for Tottenham’s Harry Kane

Bayern, per The Guardian, made a second bid worth £68 million for Kane on Saturday. One Tottenham will reportedly reject; Daniel Levy holding out for in excess of £100 million.

“(Kane) has played at the highest level in the Premier League for many years,” Musiala, who’s 89th minute ‘Aguero’ moment snatched the Bundesliga title from Dortmund’s grasp on a dramatic final day, tells BILD

“A lot of teams would like to have a player like that. He would fit in well with us.”

BILD reporter Christian Falk believes that Kane – who’s already seen a potential move to Manchester United ki-boshed by Levy – has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich.

The Bavarian giants do not have an unlimited pit of money, however. Time will tell if they are willing – or able – to substantially improve that £68 million offer.

Kane scored 32 goals in 49 games last season. He also has just one year left on his Tottenham contract.
