Cristian Stellini admits he is a big fan of Max Kilman with the Italian’s former employers Tottenham Hotspur reportedly battling Napoli for the Wolves defender.
When Tottenham Hotpsur snapped up Clement Lenglet from Barcelona a year ago, they may have been hoping that they had found a solution to their left-sided centre-back problem.
But Lenglet’s return to the Camp Nou – Spurs opting against retaining the Frenchman on a permanent basis – puts the London giants back at square one. Another summer, another left-sided centre-back required.

With James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario through the door, and with Manor Solomon on his way from Shakhtar Donetsk, focus is now shifting to potential Lenglet replacements.
Tottenham are big fans of Max Kilman
Bundesliga duo Edmond Tabsoba and Micky van de Ven, of Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg respectively, are both leading candidates. Should Spurs opt for a more low-risk, ‘Premier League proven’ option, they may throw all their chips in with Max Kilman instead.
According to The Telegraph, Tottenham are big fans of perhaps the most talented uncapped Englishman in the top-flight. Luring him away from Molineux, however, will be easier said than done; Napoli not yet giving up despite seeing a £30 million bid rejected and Kilman understood to be happy with life in the Black Country.
Stellini knows the former Maidenhead United youngster from his time on the Spurs bench. And the Chelsea-born defender, Stellini thinks, is a fitting replacement for the Bayern Munich-bound Kim Min-Jae at the Scudetto winners.
“He has a similar profile to Kim. A very strong player technically. He has great vision,” Stellini, Antonio Conte’s former assistant, tells One Station Radio.

“(Kilman) probably isn’t as fast as Kim. In that respect, he may struggle against very fast players.
“Napoli, however, are a team that prefers continued possession. And this aspect could benefit the English defender.”
According to TEAMtalk, Wolves want £40 million for Kilman. The men from Molineux are under no real pressure to cash in, however; selling fellow centre-half Nathan Collins to Brentford for £23 million this month.
