There is interest from Russian outfit Spartak Moscow as Davinson Sanchez faces an uncertain future at Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur.
The appointment of Ange Postecoglou not only sees Tottenham under the stewardship of a coach capable of bringing exciting, front-foot football back to North London after the painful Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho eras, it also offers a clean slate to those of whom looked destined for the chop before the Australian’s arrival.
Is Davinson Sanchez, one of Europe’s best young ball-playing centre-halves at Ajax, ripe for a revival? Or has a dreadful 2022/23 season – the Colombian international booed off by his own supporters during a home defeat to Bournemouth – pummelled his reputation to such an extent that even a fresh start under a new manager cannot salvage his Spurs career?

Tottenham must make Davinson Sanchez decision
According to the Daily Mail, Sanchez is ‘pushing to leave’ this summer. What’s more, with just one year left on his contract, Tottenham are unlikely to stand in his way as they look to avoid losing a £42 million asset for nothing.
But how Sanchez feels about moving to Russia when he is supposed to be entering his prime – the defender turned 27 last month – remains to be seen.
“Spartak (Moscow) is really interested in Sanchez,” his representative told Sport Express. “But so far there has been nothing concrete.”
Sanchez started only eight Premier League games last season. His place could be taken in North London by Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo – talks between the two clubs expected to begin this week (FootMercato) – while Spurs are also looking to bring in a left-sided centre-half after Clement Lenglet’s return to Barcelona.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba is a target. Wolfsburg ace Micky Van de Ven, meanwhile, is keen on a move to the English capital (Fabrizio Romano).
“I am very good at Wolfsburg, so I don’t mind staying at Wolfsburg for another year. But if I get a chance to leave, I would like to,” the £34 million-rated Dutchman said recently.
“Of course, I read everything (the speculation). I have good contact with my agent, so I know what’s going on. I’ll see where it will lead.
“Hopefully, (a big transfer after the U21 Euros) would be nice. The Premier League? Maybe, yes. Who knows.”
Tottenham, meanwhile, could complete the signing of Adarabioyo’s former Fulham team-mate Manor Solomon this week.
