Former Celtic loanee Timothy Weah has ‘accepted’ a move to Serie A giants Juventus with the USA international leaving LOSC Lille for a fee of £10 million.
The one-time Paris Saint-Germain youngster was primarily a forward when he joined Celtic on a temporary basis during the second half of the 2019/20 season.
If – or when – he seals a rather unexpected to switch to one of Europe’s biggest clubs three years after that 17-game stint in Glasgow, Tim Weah will be arriving in Turin a far more rounded, more versatile performer.
And it is that flexibility which is likely to have caught Juventus’ eye.

Last season, Weah featured as a right-back, a left-back a winger and as a centre-forward for Paulo Fonseca’s Lille side in the French top-flight. Weah may not be an automatic starter in Turin. But he should give Max Allegri an injection of depth in a variety of different positions.
Former Celtic man Tim Weah set for Juventus move
“Timothy Weah has accepted all the conditions of Juventus’ proposal,” Fabrizio Romano writes on Twitter.
“Five-year deal agreed, salary also in place. The move is on the verge of being completed. Juventus and Lille are advancing on final agreement for a fee of 12 million euros (£10 million).”
Weah featured for the USA at the Qatar World Cup late last year. He has also been linked with the likes of Fulham, Everton and Southampton but Juventus – even with their well-publicised off-field issues and the lack of Champions League football – represents a big step up the career ladder.

Timothy will now follow in the footsteps of his father – and AC Milan legend – George with a move to Italy on the verge of completion.
“I really hope to see Timothy play in Italy sooner or later,” said Weah Sr earlier this month; speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Because everyone in Italy has always liked me. The fans of all the clubs have respected me. And this has remained in my heart.”
