Wolves are ‘trying’ to bring former Chelsea starlet Samuel Iling-Junior back to the Premier League but face competition from Brighton and Hove Albion for Juventus’ Serie A starlet.
If there was one positive to be taken from a traumatic campaign at the Allianz Stadium – Juventus finishing all the way down in seventh following an untimely points deduction – it’s that 2022/23 was a year in which the club’s next generation stepped boldly onto the stage.
Nicolo Fagioli (22), Fabio Miretti (19) and Samuel Iling-Junior (also 19) were the silver lining surrounding Juve’s dark cloud. The baby-faced trio could have a big role to play going forward too, especially if Max Allegri is forced to cash in on a star player or two amid looming financial pressures.

Gleison Bremer, Adrien Rabiot and Dusan Vlahovic are among those attracting interest from Premier League clubs. Specifically, Manchester United.
Wolves like Juventus’ former Chelsea starlet Samuel Iling-Junior.
Calciomercato, however, believe that the sale of Iling-Junior cannot be ruled out either. Particularly if Brighton or Wolverhampton Wanderers are willing to pay in excess of £13 million for a London-born winger capped six times by England’s U20 side.
Offers in the region of 15 million euros, the report says, will be ‘evaluated’.
Ferociously quick and devastatingly direct; Iling-Junior has been utilised more often than not as a left-footed left-winger in Turin. Racing down the outside and whipping in crosses a la against Benfica in the Champions League. A game in which the teenager grabbed an assist.
Allegri, however, feels that Iling-Junior’s intelligence and awareness could pave the way for a future in the centre of the park instead.

“At the moment, he is (Filip) Kostic’s understudy,” says the former AC Milan boss. “In my opinion, he has the qualities to play as a midfielder. But I haven’t tried him (there) yet.”
If Iling-Junior was to end up at Molineux, he would add further depth to a Wolves attack. Goncalo Guedes appears to have no future under Julen Lopetegui, while The Athletic believe Daniel Podence could go with just one year left on his contract.
