Leeds United are staring relegation in the face ahead of Sunday’s crucial Premier League clash against Tottenham.

As things stand, the Whites are 19th in the Premier League – two points away from Everton, who sit 17th, albeit with a worse goal difference than the Toffees.

Simply put, Leeds have to beat Tottenham, and hope that Everton suffer defeat along with Leicester.

If Sam Allardyce is unable to save Leeds, there are six players who are very likely to leave Elland Road.

What’s the story?

Well, Phil Hay of The Athletic has written a detailed analysis of what relegation would mean for Leeds.

Within the article, the following players are tipped to leave if Leeds return to the Championship.

It is said that Leeds are unlikely to activate their option to buy McKennie from Juventus even if they do avoid relegation.

Hay adds that Rodrigo would simply be too expensive for Leeds to keep in the Championship, given the fact he is the highest earner on £100,000-a-week and is also out of contract in 12 months.

Leeds could lose more than six if relegation occurs

Interestingly, Hay also mentions two players Leeds are determined to keep if they drop into the Championship – Tyler Adams and Wilfried Gnonto.

However – in our view at least – it will be incredibly tough to keep Adams while playing in England’s second tier, given the fact that Newcastle are interested in him, according to The Times.

In regards to Gnonto, Hay claims that the Italy international is on the radar of many sides across Europe due to his outstanding performances – according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are among the admirers.

If Leeds manage to keep both Adams and Gnonto in the Championship, we would be very surprised.
