Tottenham fans have now been told that Feyenoord are worried about losing Arne Slot to Spurs this summer.
An update from Sky Sports stated that the Dutch side are becoming increasingly concerned about the 44-year-old leaving to become Antonio Conte’s replacement in north London.
As a result, Feyenoord are making significant efforts to keep Arne Slot away from Tottenham.
What’s the story?
Well – according to 90min – Tottenham have held talks with the Dutchman after he guided Feyenoord to their first Eredivisie title in 18 years.
Sky Sports reporter Hayley McQueen explained live on air earlier today that Feyenoord have offered to double Slot’s wages to £3.5m-a-year in a bid to keep him in the Netherlands.
However, it was also said that the Dutch outfit are feeling “resigned” to losing the Bergentheim-born tactician to Spurs.
McQueen explained: “Now, let’s just bring you some breaking news. Feyenoord are increasingly concerned that they are going to be losing their manager, Arne Slot, to Tottenham. They are understood to be of the belief that they are resigned to losing him.”
Slot – who some have compared to Pep Guardiola – has overseen 31 wins from 46 games this season, receiving plenty of attention thanks to his attacking 4-3-3 formation.
Tottenham likely to hire Arne Slot
In our view, we would now be very surprised if Slot doesn’t end up at Tottenham as others withdraw from the running.
Xabi Alonso has already revealed he will stay at Bayer Leverkusen amid interest from Spurs, while Vincent Kompany also pledged his future to Burnley by signing a new contract.

The Athletic believe Julian Nagelsmann is out of the running too, so Slot would now appear to be the most realistic option to replace Conte.
Having said that, Tottenham’s hunt for a new manager could still involve plenty of twists and turns, so be sure to keep an eye on the situation.
