Celtic are reportedly keen on Eduvie Ikoba and the Zalaegerszegi striker admits he would ‘consider the opportunity’ if the Scottish Premiership champions step up their interest.
Having plundered over 100 goals en route to yet another domestic title, the centre-forward position is maybe not one many Celtic supporters would expect to see strengthened during the summer window.
Especially with Kyogo Furuhashi going from strength to strength, and Oh Hyeon-Gyu adapting to life in his new Glaswegian home.
That has not stopped reports linking the likes of Fotis Ioannidis, Levi Garcia and fellow Greek international Anastosios Douvikas with a move to Parkhead, however.

Hungarian publication Nemzeti Sport, meanwhile, believe the Iowa-born Ikoba is another name to keep an eye upon. 6ft 4ins and scorer of 14 goals this term for ZTE, Ikoba is happy in Hungary. But neither is he ruling out a move away should the opportunity arise.
Is Eduvie Ikoba a Celtic striker target?
“(My future) is still uncertain,” the former AS Trencin striker tells Yanks Abroad.
“From this summer, my contract runs for another two years. The team (Zalaegerszegi) is in the European Conference League qualifiers, which is a really big opportunity for the club.
“I don’t know yet what my future holds, whether I’ll stay or go. But I think I’ll be here, in Zala.
“If I were to get a contract from somewhere that would allow me to take another step in my career, I would consider the opportunity. But it is not beneficial for a professional athlete to think so far ahead.
“I am only focusing on the next match, because we want to finish the season well. And then, in the summer, I will speak to the club and my agent.”
An emphatic, powerful finisher who is strong in the air – as you might expect given his 6ft 4ins frame – Ikoba could potentially give Celtic a different, more physical dimension in the final third following the recent departure of Giorgios Giakoumakis.
