Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal could reportedly try to get rid of Emile Smith Rowe in the summer transfer window.
According to The Times, Emile Smith Rowe is among the players Arsenal are “likely to try to offload” in the summer of 2023.
This is not the first time that the English playmaker – described as “very technical” and “very powerful at the same time” by former Arsenal star Freddie Ljungberg on BT Sports 3 (7:21pm, April 29, 2021) – has been linked with moves away from the Gunners in recent days.
Last week, Goal reported that if Arsenal get a “decent offer” for the 22-year-old, then the North London club could deem him as “expendable” and cash in on him.
The Sun reported last month that Smith Rowe is “unhappy with a lack of game time” at Arsenal at the moment.
The Arsenal no. 10 has made 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Gunners this campaign.

Arsenal should keep Emile Smith Rowe
In our view, Arsenal should not get rid of Emile Smith Rowe at the end of the season.
Yes, the 22-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or a winger, is not getting regular playing time for Arsenal at the moment, but we cannot overlook his quality and calibre.
The Gunners will play in the UEFA Champions League next season and will also aim to win the Premier League title.
So, Arsenal need quality players.
And Smith Rowe is quality.
We believe Arsenal should not give up on the youngster just now.
