Incoming Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly wants to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martínez in the summer transfer window.

According to The Daily Mail, Mauricio Pochettino wants Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez at Chelsea for next season and beyond.

The report has claimed that Pochettino has agreed to become the new head coach of Chelsea.

The former Tottenham Hotspur head coach will reportedly sign a contract with the Blues in the coming days.

And he wants to sign Martinez among other players at Chelsea.

The £184,000-a-week (SalarySport) Argentina international striker is one of the best players in his position in the world.

And we believe that Martinez, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina, would make Chelsea better and more potent in attack.

Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku have been brilliant for Inter when they have played together and when both have been fully fit and firing.

After all, Martinez and Lukaku were key to Inter winning the Serie A title under head coach Antonio Conte in 2020-21.

The 25-year-old scored 17 goals and gave six assists in Serie A in 2020-21.

Lukaku scored 24 goals and gave 11 assists in Serie A that campaign.

So far this season, Martinez has scored 20 goals and provided five assists in 25 Serie A starts.

Lukaku is on loan at Inter from Chelsea at the moment.

Perhaps Pochettino could play Martinez and Lukaku together at Chelsea.

Whether or not Inter actually sell the striker remains to be seen.
