Lautaro Martinez is one of the best strikers in the world, and there is no surprise that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United want to sign him.
Arsenal and Manchester United want Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez
TEAMtalk reported in February 2023 that Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in signing Martinez from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea are also keen on the Argentina international striker, according to the report.
While Marcus Rashford has been playing well for United this season, the England international is not a ‘natural’ striker or number 9.
Martinez is a tremendous goalscorer who has scored 19 goals and given five assists in Serie A this season.
The 25-year-old scored 21 goals and provided three assists in the league last season.
Arsenal have Gabriel Jesus as their main striker, but the Brazil international is not very prolific.

So, there is not surprise that the Gunners are keen on Martinez.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reportedly admires the striker and tried to sign him last summer.
Martinez did not fancy a move to the Gunners due to lack of UEFA Champions league football this season.
Arsenal will play in Europe’s premier club competition next season, so this time, a move to the North London club could appeal to Martinez, described as “perfect” by former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves on BT Sport 1 (2:27pm, December 13, 2021).
Inter Milan stance
However, it seems that Arsenal or Manchester United may not be able to sign the Argentine in the summer transfer window.
That’s because, according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Inter do not want to sell Martinez at any cost.
