Journalist Jack Pitt-Brooke has made a claim that the chances of Julian Nagelsmann becoming the next Tottenham Hotspur manager are dead and buried.

It was reported during the end of April that the 35-year-old boss was keen on the Spurs job after being sacked by Bayern Munich.

However, it seems Julian Nagelsmann is no longer in the picture to be appointed as the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.

Nagelsmann set not to become Tottenham manager

It is likely that Spurs fans will be gutted upon discovering this revelation, as the possibility of appointing him seemingly gave them a glimmer of hope amidst the club’s ongoing struggles.

Branded as ‘one of the best coaches in the world’ by Andrej Kramaric via Bundesliga’s official website, the German seemed like the perfect fit for the job.

However, Jack Pitt-Brooke has claimed in a report for the Athletic that Julian Nagelsmann is indeed ‘out of the running’ to become the next Tottenham manager.

Nagelsmann is set not to be a part of the club’s final interview process and interestingly enough, it has been stated that he has not been interviewed even once so far.

It is likely that the away fans travelling to Villa Park on Saturday will have their eyes fixated on proceedings with grimaces on their faces.

HITC View: Enormous lapse in judgement from Tottenham

Considering the sad state of affairs at Tottenham, the fact that they even had a shot at appointing a manager as prodigious as Julian Nagelsmann was a golden opportunity in itself.

For Spurs to seemingly decide that Nagelsmann does not fit exactly the criteria they are looking for verges on madness.

The managerial prodigy is one of Europe’s most innovative tacticians and could have set a tactical blueprint at the club; a key missing feature at the club that has been symptomatic of their failure.

Tottenham seem to have shot themselves in the foot once again and could soon lose their status as a ‘Big Six’ club in the Premier League.
