Croatia international Luka Ivanusec admits he will have to make a difficult decision regarding his future as Burnley look to lure the Dinamo Zagreb star to the Premier League.
In recent seasons, the Croatian giants have made colossal profits by selling the likes of Josko Gvardiol, Lovro Majer and Dani Olmo.
Ivanusec may be in the next cab off the rank; reports suggesting that Vincent Kompany’s Burnley are ready to celebrate their promotion back to the big time by submitting a bid in the region of £10 million.

Ivanusec, Sportske Jutarnji add, is right at the top of Kompany’s summer wishlist. A stylish, versatile attacking midfielder who can also play out wide, Dinamo’s ‘number seven’ could potentially help Burnley adapt to life without their top scorer, Nathan Tella due to return to Southampton following an outstanding loan spell at Turf Moor.
Ivanusec has made most of his appearances on the left-hand side this term. He has scored 10 goals while setting up four more.
Is Luka Ivanusec heading to the Premier League with Burnley?
“I play both left wing and left midfielder. I rotate a lot, we create a lot of confusion for the opponents,” Ivanusec tells TPortal; highlighting the sort of tactical intelligence and positional flexibility that could make him a nice fit for Kompany’s blueprint.
“So I would say that I play both positions, and that I move into the midfield a lot.”
When pressed further on his future, Ivanusec admitted that a difficult decision will need to be made.
“I’m still a Dinamo player,” he adds. “It’s hard for me to talk about it. If it comes to that, you have to weigh the options. See where it’s best to go for further development.”
The Premier League would, of course, represent a step forward in Ivanusec’s career. The chance to hone his talents under a coach as highly-regarded as Kompany, meanwhile, may also be rather tempting for a man who turned down a £4.5 million move to Celtic a couple of windows ago.
