Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are reportedly planning a ‘monster’ party in Las Vegas for Wrexham after they sealed promotion.

Wrexham’s fifteen-year wait to get back to the Football League is finally over. The club, which is co-owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, recently beat Boreham Wood 3-1 to seal their promotion from the National League.

With one game remaining this season, Wrexham are top of the league with a record 110 points, four points clear of second-place Notts County who have no chance of catching them.

It’s been a fairy-tale season for the Welsh club, who officially wrap up their campaign this Saturday with a sold-out trip to Torquay United.

Everyone involved with the club is in high spirits after their promotion, with Ryan Reynolds reportedly spending £40,000 on vintage whisky for fans after the Boreham Wood game.

The Wrexham players are also set to receive a bonus of around £200,000, and apparently Rob and Ryan are now planning to whisk the team off to Las Vegas this summer.

In an interview with The Athletic, Wrexham board advisor Shaun Harvey was asked about the club’s plans after their seasons ends this weekend.

“There is a trip to Las Vegas being mooted,” he told the outlet.

Ben Foster already teased a ‘monster’ end of season party

The news comes just days after goalkeeper Ben Foster revealed that Ryan and Rob promised the Wrexham players a ‘monster’ party if they got promoted.

Speaking about an end of season party, Foster told CBS Sports: “They’ve promised us a big deal, though, at the end of the season.

“They’ve promised us a monster one at the end of the season. If we get promoted, they’re gonna take us away somewhere with a lot of flashing lights.”

‘Somewhere with a lot of flashing lights’ sounds an awful lot like Las Vegas…

The Las Vegas trip will likely be part of Wrexham’s pre-season tour that will see them visit the US to play Manchester United and Chelsea.

It will be the first time Wrexham has played in the United States in the club’s history. The game with Manchester United was announced in a hilarious video involving Rob and Ryan and legendary United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Wrexham’s game with Manchester United will take place at Snapdragon Stadium – home of the NWSL’s San Diego Wave – on July 25.

Before that, Wrexham face Chelsea in a pre-season friendly in Chapel Hill, North Carolina at UNC’s Kenan Stadium on July 19.
