Nemanja Vidic says he is a big fan of Liverpool transfer target Josko Gvardiol and the ‘aggressive’ nature of the RB Leipzig star’s game.
The Manchester United legend had the no-nonsense traits Josko Gvardiol is showcasing in the Bundesliga right now and he produced during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
It was semi-final heartache for Croatia, but their rising star at the back took his game to another level and probably added a few more million to his price-tag.

Whilst Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, a former Leipzig player, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez to pick from, they have struggled big time this season, especially in defence.
Back in March, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared that the Reds pushed for Gvardiol in January, but his parent club refused – that interest still stands ahead of the summer, but it seems as though those on Merseyside have been dealt with a bit of a blow.
Either way, Gvardiol has an admirer in former Premier League and European Cup winner Vidic, who shared what he likes about the 21-year-old, as he told FIVE.
“I always loved young defenders,” said Vidic. “At the World Cup, the Croatian defender, he was great.
“He was good on the ball. Aggressive. You can tell, he likes to take the ball from (attackers). I like that. He likes to defend.
“Like I said before about (Lisandro) Martinez. He likes to take the ball. That’s his job. You can see, he can tackle and can fight. But, when he has the ball, then he wants to play. Gvardiol is someone I really like that.”

GVARDIOL IS PREMIER LEAGUE BOUND
It’s only a matter of time before the Croatian star is donning the colours of a team in the Premier League because his talents are calling for it.
Plus, with the money on show, the German clubs simply can’t compete with the spending power of the Premier League.
It’s just a case of which team will be able to sign him. If Liverpool push for him, then surely that means a senior player, such as Joel Matip and Joe Gomez, or even both, will head for the exit door.
