Tottenham gem Mikey Moore is a name on the lips of many Spurs fans right now, and it is easy to see why.

The 15-year-old is already playing at Under-18 level for Tottenham, while he has also won seven caps for England’s Under-16 side, scoring five goals in those outings.

Moore took a step down from the Under-18 ranks to take part in the Under-17 side’s Premier Cup Final against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday, where he played a vital role in a 5-1 victory for Tottenham.

What’s the story?

Well, Moore scored twice to down Nottingham Forest, although it was his first strike which truly stood out.

The teenager – who clearly resembles Dele Alli in the way he flails his arms while dribbling – slalomed past a number of Nottingham Forest defenders before calmly passing the ball into the bottom right corner.

It was a fantastic goal from Moore, and a vital one as it put Spurs 2-1 up just before the half-time interval.

There is plenty of hype surrounding the Tottenham wonderkid, which comes as no surprise whatsoever.

Tottenham must show Mikey Moore a pathway

While Moore is probably just too young for a first-team debut at the moment, Spurs can still offer him encouragement by handing opportunities to other talents, such as Alfie Devine and Romaine Mundle.

The latter is still yet to sign a new contract with his current terms expiring in June, presumably due to the fact he is yet to make his debut despite shining in the youth ranks.

That could end up causing a drip down effect, with the likes of Moore and others potentially becoming disillusioned by the fact other bright talents in higher age groups aren’t getting senior recognition.

Hopefully, whoever replaces Antonio Conte is brave enough to use youngsters, as Tottenham have some exceptional talents within their ranks.
