Cristian Stellini has confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur youngsters Alfie Devine and Romaine Mundle could make the bench for their upcoming clash against Brighton & Hove Albion.
After Spurs succumbed to a 1-1 draw against Everton courtesy of a 90th minute winner from Michael Keane, their chances of getting into the top four continued to slip.
As Tottenham Hotspur supporters lament what has been a tumultuous campaign for them, it must be a rare ray of positivity that young players like Alfie Devine and Romaine Mundle could get a chance against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Cristian Stellini confirms Alfie Devine and Romaine Mundle could feature against Brighton
Devine is a No.8 by trade, once compared to Christian Eriksen due to his expansive passing ability, technical quality and knack of running the tempo of games.
While Mundle is more of a wide playmaker, who is renowned for how many chances he can create and the impressive end product that he has to offer.
In his press conference ahead of his side’s contest against Brighton, Tottenham interim boss Cristian Stellini said Alfie Devine and Romaine Mundle could be included in the matchday squad.

“We have some good young players who are ready to play. Alfie, Romaine and players that we trust to play part of the match or all of them”, he told Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold.
The pair could be the future of Tottenham
The fact that Cristian Stellini handpicked Alfie Devine and Romaine Mundle out of all the Tottenham youngsters that could partake against Brighton says a lot.
It is a sign that the youthful pair are regarded as the two main prospects next in line for a regular spot in the first-team.
An appearance off the bench would be ideal for either player but even if that does not transpire, they can expect to become starters in the future if they keep their heads down and continue to progress.
