Considering Julian Nagelsmann has a reputation of developing wonderkids and being adept at turning young players into superstars, we have assessed the three players he could take a liking to if he becomes Tottenham Hotspur manager.

To keep it fair, we have taken a look at a trio of youthful prospects that all play in different positions to give a holistic view on things.

Alfie Devine would be one of the wonderkids Nagelsmann loves

One of the wonderkids at Tottenham Hotspur who would potentially really impress Julian Nagelsmann is Alfie Devine.

A hybrid between a No.8 and a No.10, Devine’s ability to dictate the show from the middle of the park is second to none out of any young player at the Spurs academy.

Considering Tottenham lack a midfielder with the 18-year-old’s expansive passing range and impressive technical ability in their first-team, perhaps Julian Nagelsmann could favour him, as he has always favoured controlling midfielders like Joshua Kimmich and Kevin Kampl in the past.

And Alfie Devine has been branded as the ‘new Christian Eriksen’ by Football Fan Cast, which tells you all you need to know about the kind of talent he is.

Maksim Paskotski could become a Nagelsmann favourite at Tottenham

If there is one thing you need to know about Julian Nagelsmann teams, it is that he tends to prefer versatile defenders and that is where one of Tottenham Hotspur’s most highly-rated wonderkids in Maksim Paskotski.

The left-footed centre-back is known to do be capable of putting in more than just a shift at left-back, which is a trait that the German could fall in love with.

After all, Nagelsmann tends to experiment with his defender’s positions on a match-by-match basis and his tactical malleability could impress the manager, alongside his pure defensive traits.

Speaking of top wonderkids, Dane Scarlett could be on top of the Nagelsmann list

Despite Dane Scarlett struggling at Portsmouth on loan, he is regarded as one of the most highly-rated wonderkids at Tottenham and with Harry Kane’s future in the air, Julian Nagelsmann could count on him.

The 19-year-old is known to technically gifted, blessed with blistering pace and a ruthless finisher as well, with Jose Mourinho famously describing him as a ‘diamond.’

Considering Nagelsmann tends to prefer technical strikers instead of target men in any case, perhaps Scarlett is one of the wonderkids that breaks through at Tottenham if the former is appointed.
