Gabriel Magalhaes has said that Gabriel Jesus pledged Arsenal to go all guns blazing to win the Premier League title before the start of the season.

The in-form defender revealed on the league’s official YouTube channel while picking his 5-a-side team full of Brazilian players playing in the English top-flight.

As Gabriel Magalhaes picked Gabriel Jesus as his forward in the side, he also touched on the Premier League promise Gabriel Jesus made right from when he signed for Arsenal.

Gabriel Magalhaes tells-all on Gabriel Jesus’ Premier League promise

It is clear to see that not just Gabriel Jesus but even Oleksandr Zinchenko brought a winning mentality to the Gunners dressing room, with the latter famously revealing that when he told his teammates that his aim was to win the league, some of them laughed.

It seems as if Gabriel Jesus is cut from the same cloth due his time at Manchester City, as Gabriel Magalhaes discussed.

“I’ll pick Gabriel Jesus. He’s won a lot, [especially] the Premier League, played a lot of games, big experience in this league.”

“When he came to Arsenal, the first day went to me, he said, ‘this year, we work together and we win this league.’ He has good experience and he’s taken the experience, and spoken a lot.”

Mikel Arteta needs to bring in more winners like Gabriel Jesus

While it is possible that players like Gabriel Magalhaes could also add a Premier League medal to their trophy cabinet, as Gabriel Jesus has made a habit of doing, in any case, Arsenal must recruit more winners.

Whether that is in the league or in Europe, it is that know-how of being acutely aware of how to get over the line that makes the difference when it’s crunch time.

And considering the Gunners are the closest they have ever been to becoming the champions of England since 2004, it is not a coincidence that this has transpired right after the £45 million (Sky Sports) man and Zinchenko signed for the club.
