Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal really want to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
The Italian journalist has said that despite failing to sign Caicedo from Premier League rivals Brighton in the January transfer window, Arsenal remain keen on the 21-year-old Ecuador international midfielder.
Arsenal had bids for the youngster turned down by Brighton in the middle of the season.
Caicedo has since sign a new deal, but it seems that Arsenal remain determined to sign the youngster described as “fantastic” and “incredible” by his Brighton teammate Adam Webster on the club’s official website in April 2022.

Arsenal still want Brighton and Hove Albion star Moises Caicedo
HITC Verdict: Summer transfer possible
In our view, Arsenal could be able to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
Yes, the youngster has put pen to paper on a new contract, but that is not going to affect Arsenal if they do make a big offer.
We know that the Gunners’ final offer of £70 million for the midfielder was turned down by Brighton in the January transfer window.
So, it is very likely that Arsenal will have to make a bigger and better bid in the summer of 2023.
Now, of course, Brighton will not want to sell any of their best players, but if the Gunners are willing to spend big, then the Seagulls could cash in on Caicedo.
