Ally McCoist says Vincent Kompany swapping Burnley for Tottenham Hotspur ‘makes sense’ and it is ‘perfect’ for the thriving manager.
Burnley are sitting at the top of the Championship table, and given that Kompany is a big name in the game, he has started to attract interest from elsewhere.
There is doubt over whether Antonio Conte will still be Tottenham’s manager in the summer, so it has seen various names, including Kompany’s, linked to the role.

At the age of 36, Kompany is going to be a Premier League manager, one way or another.
It’s just a matter of time with Burnley, so it will either happen with them, or, he will end up getting a bigger gig down the line.
Either way, when talking about the possibility of Kompany joining Spurs, former Scotland international McCoist shared his thoughts, as he told talkSPORT
“I heard it,” said McCoist. “You look at that side and he has completely transformed the way they play. They are a great watch. They are doing really, really well and they are running away with it.
“It would make sense. But if you are Vincent Kompany, would you?! In terms of timing, it probably is the perfect time for Vincent Kompany to move. I know Burnley fans won’t like it.”

TOTTENHAM’S STYLE OF PLAY
Well, if Spurs were to push for Kompany, one thing they would get is the style of play fans have been craving for.
They would get it on a weekly basis when Mauricio Pochettino was in charge, but it has alluded them now.
It’s no surprise that Kompany, who worked under Pep Guardiola, wants to play out from the back and he demands his team press from the front, so from that sense, if he is appointed, then Spurs will become eye-catching again.
