Ian Wright has slammed manager Antonio Conte for ‘always talking Tottenham down’, as he told Premier League Productions (13/03/23 at 2:35 pm).
The former striker added that ‘fans are frustrated’ with the goings-on at Tottenham, as he highlighted the club’s style of play as an issue under their highly-demanding Italian coach.
That was prominent last Wednesday night when Spurs failed to lay a glove on AC Milan in the Champions League.

Despite being the home team, with Harry Kane starting, and two goals needed to progress to the next round of domestic football’s biggest stage.
It was those in all-white who played like they were defending a 1-0 lead, not looking to overturn it.
In truth, that has been one of the main problems under Conte, with his future now in doubt, as Wright shared his thoughts.
“The way they play, it’s not a great style of play,” said Wright. “It’s very counter-attacking – We know we have seen them play and it’s really hard to watch. The fans are always frustrated.
“They have a manager, who is always talking things down. It’s very dour.”

WILL CONTE LEAVE?
There’s no point in Conte hanging around if the £288k-a-week man isn’t going to sign a new contract.
Should this current squad of players do better than fourth? No. Better than the knockout stages of the Champions League? No.
But they shouldn’t be getting kicked out of the FA Cup by Championship teams for two seasons running, or putting in a sleepless-like style of play.
Some Spurs fans will argue that, if they aren’t going to win anything with a trophy-laden coach, then they would rather enjoy watching their football, hence the calls for Mauricio Pochettino to return.
