Steven Gerrard has told Mohamed Salah that he is his favourite player at Liverpool.
Compliments simply do not get any bigger and better for any Reds star as the retired midfielder is widely considered as the club’s greatest ever player. While some have suggested that the £34.3 million (Sky Sports) man has managed to overtake the Englishman as the side’s best Premier League player of all time, the latter is still viewed as untouchable by the masses.

After Mohamed Salah broke yet another record during his incredible spell in a Liverpool shirt, Steven Gerrard told him face-to-face that he is his favourite player.
“Growing up? [his favourite Liverpool player] John Barnes. Barnes was like yourself, a dribbler, exciting. He could score individual goals like yourself and he could change a game, and he could win a game. Now, my favourite is you.”

“It has to be you because Lio [his son], my Lio, he’s obsessed. He loves you more than me. You’re the only human he loves more than me. I’m second”, he said in a teaser for an exclusive interview set to be launched by the club.
