Arsenal linked Dusan Vlahovic is reportedly considering a move to the Premier League but Serie A legend Fabrizio Ravanelli cannot see why he would leave Juventus just yet, speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport.

That 15-point deduction aside, 2023 has been a pretty impressive year for Juve. The old winning machine is whirring back into life; Max Allegri’s side up there amongst the form teams in Europe since the turn of the year.

Then again, trying to ignore the existence of that 15-point penalty is like trying to watch Netflix with dodgy wifi. You can try your best, but that irritation is always there, nagging away at the back of your mind. Concerns over Juventus’ long and short-term future, and the prospect of missing out on Champions League football, continue to undermine all the progress they have made in recent months, with one of their star players reportedly suffering from a case of itchy feet.

Vlahovic’s agent, Sport Mediaset say, is sounding out potential Premier League destinations. Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea, La Stampa, add are among those who may be tempted to take the bait.

Would Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic be keen on a move to Arsenal?

But, according to Ravanelli, the £72 million signing from Fiorentina should be desperate to achieve a lasting legacy at one of Europe’s most historic clubs before moving on.

“Does (Vlahovic) have to change the scene? I don’t see the need,” says the one-time Juventus, Middlesbrough and Derby County ace.

“Indeed, it seems to me that he has embraced the Juve project and therefore wants to wear the shirt for a long time, beyond the difficulties of this season. I imagine that, in his head, there is the will to do something important with Juve.”

A prolific finisher at Fiorentina, there remain concerns about whether Allegri’s rather functional style getting the best out of a physical, broad-shouldered number nine who thrives upon reliable service. In 24 games this term, Vlahovic has just ten goals.

Ravanelli, however, believes the ex-QPR target (oh what might have been?) has the talent to overcome any on-field obstacles.

“The style of play can help a striker or not,” he begins. “But I think the great champions (thrive in) up any type of game.

“Often too much attention is paid to the number of goals and not to the performance of the forward. And that is wrong.
