Tottenham have been mentioned as a potential destination for Roberto De Zerbi amid doubts over the future of Antonio Conte.
The Italian is yet to sign a new contract at Spurs, with his current terms set to expire in June.
Now, an interesting claim has been made about De Zerbi at Tottenham.
What’s the story?
Well – according to the Telegraph – the Italian is frustrated with Brighton after he was unable to sign new players in the January transfer window to boost hopes of European qualification.
The Telegraph also mention the links between Tottenham and De Zerbi.

Brighton currently sit seventh in the Premier League, although the Italian saw his squad weakened in January as Leandro Trossard left for Arsenal and no major improvements were made.
Only Facundo Buonanotte and Yasin Ayari, aged 18 and 19 respectively, arrived at the Amex Stadium.
As things stand, Brighton are just seven points away from Tottenham – who sit fourth in the Premier League – and have two games in hand over Spurs, so you can understand why De Zerbi is annoyed at the lack of investment.
Tottenham must attempt to hire De Zerbi if Conte leaves
In our view, there are echoes of Mauricio Pochettino at Southampton when it comes to De Zerbi and Brighton.
Daniel Levy has failed with his recent approach of hiring proven winners such as José Mourinho and Conte, both of whom have instilled a boring style of play which has left some Tottenham fans without hope.
However, De Zerbi represents a fantastic modern-day manager, whose style of football is both exciting and effective.
The Italian is also not afraid to use youngsters – such as Evan Ferguson – so he could work wonders in helping the likes of Alfie Devine and Dane Scarlett fulfil their potential.
If Conte does decide against signing a new contract at Tottenham, Levy must attempt to poach the 43-year-old from Brighton.
