Arsenal youngster Amario Cozier-Duberry has said that Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith-Rowe are the players he idolises at the club.

The 17-year-old, who has been labelled as ‘absolutely brilliant’ by Mikel Arteta in the past was spotted training alongside the senior team, ahead of their latest 1-1 draw against Brentford. Clearly, the talented winger is considered as one for the future.

It seems as if Amario Cozier-Duberry aims to replicate former Hale End youth products who have become established first-team players such as Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith-Rowe.

In recent years, the Gunners’ academy has provided a promising pathway for talents to represent the first-team, especially since Arteta’s appointment. Keeping that in mind, the teenager is right in dreaming big.

Speaking to an interview with Arsenal itself, Amario Cozier-Duberry has named his three idols, saying, “Being at Arsenal is a dream come true, but I know that I’m in a very privileged position, so my mindset is to stay focused and strive to become the next Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah or Emile Smith-Rowe, these are guys I look up to and they’re an example that there is a pathway there to the first-team from Hale End.”

The ideal role models for any up-and-coming Arsenal prospect

Ultimately, the aforementioned trio have not just played first-team minutes for their boyhood clubs but have become key members of the squad.

The ‘dangerous’ Bukayo Saka has become arguably the most in-form right-winger in the world, while the ‘brilliant’ Eddie Nketiah has replaced Gabriel Jesus with aplomb for Arsenal and Emile Smith-Rowe was the club’s top scorer last season, which are all facets that may push Amario Cozier-Duberry to strive to reach the very summit.

The English trio have been there and done that and the special talent could very well do the same, if he follows in their footsteps.
