Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has raved about Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka on ITV (10:15pm, January 27, 2023) after the match against Mikel Arteta’s side on Friday evening.

Guardiola said that Arsenal and England international winger Saka is one of the most dangerous players in the Premier League at the moment.

The City boss made the comments while discussing the performance of Nathan Ake for City in the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Premier League rivals Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Friday evening.

Ake scored the only goal of the match in the second half.

The Dutch defender also kept Saka quiet, and Guaradiola was hugely impressed.

Guardiola said: “He (Ake) controlled one of the dangerous players in the Premier League, Saka. He is really good in the box, he is really good in duels, one against one, he is so intelligent.”

Big praise

In our view, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s comments on Bukayo Saka show just how good the Arsenal and England international forward is.

The 21-year-old tends to start on the right of a front-three for the Gunners.

And he always delivers.

The FA Cup tie against City on Friday evening was one of the very rare occasions when Saka had a really quiet game.

You have to keep credit to the City defenders for that.

However, there is no doubt that the English youngster will bounce back.

He always does.
