Cristian Stellini has given his thoughts on Pedro Porro, who had a debut to forget in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt after his side lost 4-1 to Leicester City.

The Sporting CP loanee had a nightmare of a display from a defensive standpoint, as the likes of Viktor Kristiansen and Harvey Barnes constantly targeted him, as he was ‘all over the place’ as Tim Sherwood commented. Going forward as well, the 23-year-old got no joy throughout the contest, as his showing was devoid of any positives.

Cristian Stellini was quizzed about his opinion on the performance from Pedro Porro after Tottenham were beaten to a pulp by Leicester at the King Power Stadium.

Cristian Stellini has his say on Pedro Porro debut for Tottenham vs Leicester

Considering the former Manchester City man is regarded as one of the most exciting up-and-coming right-backs in the world, a sparkling debut was expected by the traveling supporters.

As that was not the case, Cristian Stellini gave his two cents on a disastrous outing from Pedro Porro on his Tottenham debut against Leicester.

“Pedro [Porro], we think he was ready to play. For sure, he’s ready to play in this league because he’s a great player with experience. We know also it’s not easy. The changing league, the type of football you have to play maybe he needs time. He can react with all the team. The team has to help a player like Pedro who arrives now and needs time to play in this type of league”, Stellini said about the Tottenham defender after the game against Leicester, as quoted by Football.London.

Ultimately, whatever said and done, the talented full-back has only played one game in England, which is why being too harsh would just be unfair.

Eric Dier clearly backs Pedro Porro and so does Cristian Stellini, despite him being admittedly poor for Tottenham against Leicester.
