Robbie Mustoe has suggested on Twitter that Leeds United midfielder Weston McKennie will not be happy that Jesse Marsch has been sacked as the manager.

Leeds announced earlier today that they have decided to part company with Marsch.

The American manager was relieved of his duties at Elland Road following a run of poor results.

Leeds are in real danger of getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.

The Whites are now 17th in the Premier League table with 18 points from 20 matches, level on points with third-from-bottom Everton, who have played 21 games.

Leeds went down 1-0 to fellow relegation candidates Nottingham Forest away from home at the City Ground in the league this past weekend.

McKennie joined Leeds on loan from Juventus in the January transfer window.

It was Marsch who reportedly convinced his American compatriot to move to Elland Road.

And now he has been sacked.

Robbie Mustoe played for Oxford United, Middlesbrough, Charlton Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday in England.

The 54-year-old Englishman now works as an analyst for American broadcaster NBC Sports.

And he has suggested that McKennie might not be too pleased that Marsch has been sacked just days after he moved to Leeds.
