Thomas Partey enhanced his reputation among Arsenal and neutral supporters on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s side moved eight points clear of Manchester City at the Premier League summit.
The Gunners did so by edging out Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 away from home.
It was a victory that put to bed any doubt that Arsenal are indeed the real deal and could very possibly win the Premier League title this season.
Partey was one of the visitors’ best players throughout the 90 minutes.
And Rio Ferdinand has admitted via his YouTube channel that the Ghana international’s range of passing surprised him in a major way against Spurs.

He said: “The pass for Saka and then the one round the corner before the Odegaard goal. He’s actually playing some passes I didn’t know he had. At Atletico, did you see these passes?”
Ferdinand went on to claim that Partey wasn’t as solid as Casemiro in a defensive context.
But the truth is that the former Atletico Madrid midfielder – a £45 million signing in 2020 [Sky Sports] – is swiftly becoming a very complete player.
Whether it’s defending, attacking or – as Ferdinand pointed out – passing, Partey has a lot of strings to his bow and keeping him fit could determine whether Arsenal go the whole way this season.
