Arsenal are now interested in signing Warren Zaire-Emery from Paris Saint-Germain as Mikel Arteta targets the wonderkid.

What’s the story?

Well, the Spaniard has already worked his magic on Bukayo Saka, and is now keen to develop the 16-year-old sensation at the Emirates Stadium – according to Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport.

Hawkins claims that Arsenal are very keen to sign the teenager this month, as opposed to a summer move, although PSG have no intention of letting their No.33 leave the Parc des Princes.

Zaire-Emery has made remarkable progress at PSG since being called into the first-team by Mauricio Pochettino at the age of just 15.

Within 12 months, the midfield sensation has played for the France Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 sides, while also making his Ligue 1 and Champions League debut.

Zaire-Emery became the first player born in 2006 to appear in the Champions League when he played 11 minutes of PSG’s 7-2 win over Maccabi Haifa back in October.

The Frenchman also became the youngest PSG player in history when making his Ligue 1 debut against Clermont in August 2022 at the age of just 16 years and 151 days.

Zaire-Emery should join Arsenal

In our view, it would be beneficial for the 16-year-old’s career if he joined Arsenal.

As aforesaid, Arteta has worked wonders with Saka, while also helping the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Ødegaard and Emile Smith Rowe improve significantly during his time in charge.

At PSG, very few youngsters emerge from the academy to become first-team regulars, as the French giants can afford to spend incredible amounts on the best talent across Europe such as Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

Therefore, Zaire-Emery risks letting his significant potential go to waste if he stays.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Arsenal target the PSG wonderkid.
