Sporting Lisbon are split over accepting Tottenham Hotspur’s terms for Pedro Porro, according to 90min.
The report has claimed that Tottenham are in talks with Sporting over signing Porro in the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old right-back has a release clause of €45 million (£40 million) in his contract at Sporting.
Tottenham are not willing to pay that fee upfront, but the North London club have offered to pay it over several instalments.
According to 90min, ‘some within the Sporting hierarchy now feel that this would be an acceptable condition, though others – including head coach Ruben Amorim – remains opposed to it’.
Could Tottenham Hotspur sign Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon?
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window.

Based on the report in 90min, it seems that some at Sporting are warming up to the idea of Tottenham’s proposal of paying the fee in instalments.
We think that Porro’s stance will be key.
If the 23-year-old Spain international, who can also operate as a winger or wing-back, wants to move to Tottenham, then the two clubs will find an agreement.
As for Spurs, they need to get this deal soon, as they would have to give Porro time to adjust to life in England and to Conte’s system.
