According to The Mirror, Pedro Porro has agreed to join Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spanish defender has been named as Spurs’ top target this month as the north London club look to regroup and once again make a charge for the top four, and now, it looks like Spurs are closing in on a deal.
Porro has agreed to the move, now all Spurs need to do is to agree a fee with Sporting CP.
Unfortunately for Spurs, that may be easier said than done.
Indeed, the Portuguese club are playing hardball over the ‘electrifying’ wing-back at the moment.

The player has a €45m release clause, and Ruben Amorim’s side have been adamant that Porro will not be leaving Lisbon for any less than that fee.
As shrewd negotiators, Spurs are, understandably, not so keen to fork out for Porro’s release clause, but if they want to sign the player, they may not be left with much choice.
Of course, as we’ve seen on numerous occasions, as we head towards deadline day, clubs begin to show their hands in the transfer window, and Sporting may well loosen up a little bit when it comes to their demands for Porro – especially if the player begins to make noises about wanting the move.
Having agreed to join Spurs, it may not be long before Porro does start to cause a bit of a stir at his current club as he looks to return to the Premier League after a less than successful spell with Manchester City.
This is certainly a transfer story that will continue to be amongst the headlines heading into next week as Spurs try to negotiate down from the player’s release clause.
Don’t be surprised if we see Porro joining Spurs before the transfer deadline.
