Christian Pulisic injury update has been a commonly searched term after the Chelsea and USMNT star suffered a knee injury.
The £60m American was forced off at Stamford Bridge in the 22nd minute of Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League, with the issue occurring on Thursday 5th January.
Many soccer fans in the United States have been anxiously awaiting updates as Gregg Berhalter prepares to lead the USMNT out in four fixtures across early 2023.
So, let’s take a look at the latest Pulisic injury update…
Pulisic injury update
Well, Graham Potter has bad news for Chelsea and USMNT supporters.
After initially stating that the Chelsea No.10 – nicknamed Captain America – would miss just a few weeks, the 47-year-old has now revealed that it is worse than originally thought.
Sky Sports quote Potter as saying: “Christian is (out for) a couple of months, we think.”

Pulisic will definitely miss the upcoming USMNT friendlies against Serbia and Colombia on January 26th and January 29th respectively as a result of his knee injury.
Taking Potter’s words literally, the American is also facing a race against time to be fit for the USMNT’s CONCACAF Nations League clashes against Grenada and El Salvador, which fall on 24th March and 27th March respectively.
This news will undoubtedly come as a huge blow to Berhalter.
However, the USMNT still has enough talent in its ranks to win those four games, such as Weston McKennie, Timothy Weah, Yunus Musah and Brenden Aaronson.
What is Pulisic’s injury?
Let’s go into some more detail on Pulisic’s knee injury.
The 24-year-old appeared to jar his right knee after John Stones blocked his attempt at goal during Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in Premier League action.
Chelsea are yet to release further details, although the Blues will be hoping that their No.10 has not suffered any cruciate ligament damage, as he could then end up being out for longer than just a couple of months.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Chelsea may soon release further information.
