Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic must pay £2.2 million if they want to bring striker Said Hamulic to the Scottish Premiership during the January transfer window, Stal Mielec president Jacek Klimek says in quotes reported by Weszlo.
Goals aren’t exactly in short supply at Parkhead.
With 63 from just 20 league matches, Celtic have found the net 17 times more often than Old Firm rivals Rangers this season, with Kyogo Furuhashi, Giorgios Giakoumakis, Liel Abada, Jota and more all capable of reaching double figures.

The uncertainty surrounding Giakoumakis’ future, however, appears to have opened the door for a new number nine to arrive. South Korea international Oh Hyeon-Gyu admitted over the weekend that he is keen on sealing a £1.75 million move to Celtic. Compatriot Cho Gue-Sung is another on Postecoglou’s radar.
And keep an eye on Hamulic too; a 6ft 2ins Rolls Royce of a centre-forward who combines the physicality of Giakoumakis with the speed and skill of an Odsonne Edouard or Moussa Dembele.
Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic like Said Hamulic of Stal Mielec
“Said is in demand in Europe. We negotiate his transfer every day. Even today, I turned down a French club,” explains Klimek, while suggesting that Hamulic’s head may have already been turned.
“We would like to keep him, but it won’t be easy. Especially since, looking at Said, you can see that from time to time his mind is already in other places.
“We expect 2.5 million euros for him and we have now received one such offer, which may soon see the light of day.”
Klimek was unwilling to name the club who have made that £2.2 million offer for the Dutch-born Bosnian. In addition to France and Scotland, Tuttomercatoweb say that Hamulic also has admirers in Belgium and the Eredivisie.
In 17 games, Hamulic has scored nine goals and set up four more for Stal Mielec this season.
Celtic, meanwhile, retained their nine-point lead over rivals Rangers following Monday’s dramatic 2-2 Old Firm derby draw at Ibrox.
