Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has raved about Darwin Nunez on Viaplay Fotball for his performance against Leicester City at Anfield in the Premier League on Friday evening.
Klopp was hugely impressed by Nunez, as Liverpool got the better of Leicester 2-1 at home to maintain their challenge for the Premier League top four this season.
The Liverpool boss was blown away by the pace that the Uruguay international striker showed against Brendan Rodgers’sside.
Nunez created a wonderful chance for Liverpool teammate and Egypt international forward Mohamed Salah in the 24th minute.
The striker showed blistering pace and impressed former Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher.
Nunez was involved in Liverpool’s second goal in the 45th minute.

The striker’s effort came back off the frame of the Leicester goal, and Wout Faes turned it in for an own goal.
Once again, the Uruguayan showed his pace and ability to leave defenders behind.
Yes, Nunez had two very good chances and the striker should have scored from them, but he is working hard and getting opportunities.
We have to highlight those positives from the Liverpool striker’s game.
Jurgen Klopp on Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez
Klopp said about Nunez after the match, as transcribed by RTK: “Today you saw already a massive improvement [from Nunez].
“He had a similar situation in the last game, getting close to the goalie, tonight he chipped the ball over the goalie.
“It would have fitted the situation if it goes to the post and out but this time he was a bit more lucky with that.
“But I can’t see a lot of strikers who could have that chance even, because the speed is insane in these moments. And then the pass to Mo in the second half is absolutely exceptional.”
