Italian website CMW claim Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has been offered to Aston Villa as a makeweight with the Italian champions keen on luring Emi Martinez to the Old Lady – but the Polish star is not interested in a move.
Szczesny, 32, joined Juventus in 2017 from Arsenal after spending two years on loan at Roma. He has since clocked up 190 appearances for Juve, and his stats are seriously impressive. Conceding only 175 goals, he has 76 clean sheets.
Still relatively young in goalkeeping terms, the 70-time Poland international could be on the move sooner rather than later. His contract at Juve expires in 2024. Juve are looking to bring in a goalkeeper – and Martinez is being targeted.
The Villa goalkeeper, now a World Cup winner, has performed superbly in Qatar. He could end up leaving Villa after his winter exploits. Juventus are interested, while Dean Jones told Give Me Sport that Martinez is a target for Spurs, too

Juventus goalkeeper Szczesny offered to Villa as Martinez makeweight
Martinez would be a superb signing for most of Europe’s biggest clubs, right now. If you need a goalkeeper, there are little better options that are yet to make it at a big club, but have the potential to do so, than Argentina’s number 1.
But there will be numerous clubs keen and Martinez may prefer to remain in England. If Juventus are going to be able to tempt him, then they may need to offer a direct replacement. However, it seems Szczesny could scupper a move.
Juventus may have to accept that they will have to pay big to get Martinez – or find another player that is to Villa’s fancy next month. It is unclear how much he would cost clubs next month, but he did cost Villa £17m from Arsenal.
