Super-agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly offered Adama Traore to Serie A leaders Napoli despite rumours that Leeds are interested in signing the Wolves attacker.

According to CalcioMercato, the Premier League winger is a major target for Napoli and is already being viewed as a potential replacement for Hirving Lozano, with Traore expected to leave Wolves for good in the January window, where interest is already high.

And now, Mendes is working on a deal to take Traore to Napoli, with the Partenopei already being offered the chance to sign the attacker despite recent reports from 90min claiming that Leeds also want the 26-year-old Premier League winger.

Once lauded by Jurgen Klopp as ‘unplayable’, Traore, on his day, is one of the finest forwards in England, with the attacker’s incredible pace and strength something that has made the Wolves attacker stand out amongst neutrals in recent years.

However, Traore’s end-product has always been an issue, and it’s because of this that the one-time FC Barcelona loanee is set to leave Wolves for good in January. Though unfortunately for Leeds, Napoli now look like the clear favourites to land the Spanish international.

Indeed, Serie A could be the perfect division for Traore given how much slower the league is compared to the Premier League. And for the Leeds target’s style of play, this could be what’s needed to unlock the winger’s frightening potential.

Signed from Middlesbrough for £18m in 2018, Wolves are expected to miss out on a major pay-day for Traore given all the winger has done in the past four years. Yet there’s no denying that a move to Italy with Napoli could be an exceptional decision for the 26-year-old, despite interest from Leeds.

After all, Napoli are flying in Serie A, and whilst Traore might not be a regular for the Italian giants, the division will offer the attacker the chance to play his best football and to finally increase the end-product that has been lacking from his game for some years now.
